Blather and Bosh - Episode 37

Blather and Bosh 37

I’m being bad about this aren’t I?
I skipped over last week due to technical mishaps and fatigue.
Stressed out, tired and cranky.
Perfect time for a podcast.
Work is kicking my ass.
A massage is needed. A real massage pervs.
Life is looking real ugly now a days.
I hope I can shake it.
At least sex can take my mind off of things.

If I had any.

Though I’d rather find love and, well, spooning.

 Tina.

I know it’s been banged over a lot of people’s heads…
It’s been splashed across billboards and magazine ads…
Articles have been written about it…
And studies have been conducted…

But bottom line.

Crystal Meth is one of the most evil and horrible substances
ever to come into existence.

It has ruined and ravaged the lives
of too many people that have been/are in my life.
Friends, colleagues, aquaintances…
So many people who have touched my life, changed my thinking.
People I have loved, respected,
owed so much to when it came to who I am…

I am no saint.
I won’t lie to you.
I also won’t go into details,
because that is my business, my life.

But I will say this.
Please.
Please.
I beg you.
From the deepest fathoms of my soul.
From the gap in my being
where a heavy sadness dwells
and a jagged piercing anger grows.

Please don’t do tina.

No matter how invincible you may feel.
No matter how much in control you think you are.

Please.

Not just for yourself.
But also for the people around you.

Please.

 It’s only Tuesday…

But, OMG.

Will this Monday never come??!?

How did you think I felt
when I was informed today that…
*ding*
Our office will be closed both
Monday and Tuesday for July 4th?!?

Fan-f*ckin-tastic.

THAT’s how I felt.

For those out there who don’t know,
I am currently a busy worker bee and have
for at least a month or so,
been working a 7day work schedule.

(I can sleep when I’m dead, yada yada.)

(BTW, I’d like to apologize to those NYC Bloggers
that I have been seeing out and about
at the bar I have been working at.
Timing is everything,
and I always manage to run into them
at the worst times.
LOL.
Either I’m busy as hell,
someone or something has tried my nerves,
or I’m covered in sticky, beer infused
garbage juice cause I’ve been helping
the barback with things.
I know. I know.
To quote one well known Blogger
as I stood outside the bar, soaking in it…

“That’s Hoooooooot.”

I know.

“I want to lead the Glamorous Life. I don’t need a man’s touch…”

But you know what they say,

“Without love, it ain’t much.”)

So now…
Because with my schedule being so tight…
(Hee hee, I said “tight”.)

Because my schedule is so tight,
I am NOW figuring out what I am planning to do those 2 days.

Rest at home?
Go to the beach?
(I’ve never been to Fire Island.)
Hell, I may end up scratching that dancing itch
that I’ve been needing to scratch
And go out to see Danny Tenaglia @ Sprit July 3rd.

Booty shaking is looking really good.

(Actually, any booty, at all, looks really good right now.
My zod, it been a while.)

But I’m actually up to suggestions…

(Within reason, you cheeky monkays.)

Anybody have any ideas what I should do?

“I’m happy as a little giiiiiiirl.”

 Pride.

I’d like to take time out
of the regular program schedule…

To wish everyone a Happy Pride!

According to Wikipedia:

Pride refers to a strong sense of self-respect,
a refusal to be humiliated as well as joy in the accomplishments of oneself
or a person, group, or object that one identifies with.

We’ve come a long ways.
Media, visibility, acceptance, in parts.

Rejoice in it.
Revel in it.
Hell, put on a pair of spandex shorts,
a net t-shirt and glitter and twirl in it.

But remember.
Pride is also a group of lions.

Be prideful as well…

Stay together.
Stay hungry.
We’re far from where we need to be.

But above all.
Have fun.
Stay safe.
Stand proud.

 College flashback.

Alright…
I’ve snapped out of it.

This brought me back
To those days of
Worshiping the porcelain god.
And waking up wondering
What I did last night.

What?!?!
I have a paper due?!?!

Damn.

 Sorry guys…

I’m not in a good head space right now.
I mean, look at the f*cking post I put up last night
as I was walking home to the train station.

I really wanted to do a recap of
WSYWYG and The Glam Slam today.

I mean both were excellent.

But something’s wrong with me.
I’m not feeling very happy.
My perspective is a little off
about people and life.

My life.

And I don’t know how to shake it right now.

I mean.
It’s early.
Maybe my headspace will clear.

I also heard it’s going to rain, so.

 It boils down to you.

It boils down to you.

Jokes and funny stories.
Puns and sharp retorts.
They only go so far.

When friends don’t show up.
When tricks don’t call back.
When tasks arent what you expected.
When family is the type you dont talk to.
When he isn’t the one or he can’t be.

It boils down to you.

People say…
Stick to your guns.
Stand fast.
Put up the good fight.
Move on.

I’m tired.
I don’t want to smile.
I don’t want to make nice.
I don’t want to talk it out.
I don’t want to walk it off.

I find things that distract.
I find things that deflect.
I never really find “it”.

I don’t know what I’m talking about.

It’s a beautiful night out.

I just want to go home.

 Picnic In The Summertime

Welcome to the Summer Solstice!
Summer has officially begun.
And I can feel the energy rising.
More people in the streets…
And festivities abound.

I decided to put up a recent find on YouTube
of one of my biggest musical influences…
Deee-Lite.
They covered the spectrum of electronic music,
from dance friendly R&B,
to jungle, to house, to funk, to hip hop.
They did it all.
And I loved all of it.

Everyone knows them for “Groove Is In The Heart”…
But I wanted to share this clip with you guys…
It’s from their last album.
“Dewdrops In The Garden”

If there ever was an ode to New York in the summertime…
This would be it for me…
Chillin out in Central Park,
with an Icee and being lazy under a big shady tree.

Blather and Bosh - Episode 36

Blather and Bosh 36

Sorry guys.
I had meant to post this last friday night.
But I ended up passing out from being so overworked.
And the weekend was crazy busy too.

Talked about…
Well, tons of work…
Heat… and not in the good sense.
The Kevin Aviance hate crime.
Mace, pepper spray, The Pink Panthers?
I hate living in fear.

He’s got a ticket to ride.

Don’t get me wrong.
I respect the Daddy/Boy scene.
I think it can be pretty hot actually.
Know what I’m sayin’ there Luc? ;)

But when Gizmodo put this up on their site last week.
I had to post about it.

(Conveniently enough after the Folsom East Fair/Father’s Day.)

DIRECTLY from the site:

The Daddle
“Dad’s Saddle for Horsing Around”

Little Kaspey may be too small for Big Johnny to let him ride,
but in a few years this Daddle is going to be mighty useful in the Biggs house.

The Daddle—is it dad + saddle or dork + saddle—
lets fathers strap it on their back
to give kids two to six a daddy-back ride.
There’s a “soft saddle horn and adjustable stirrups”
to complete the horsey feel.

The saddle is available for $50 and kneepads for $32,
since you’re not a young man anymore.

Ummmmmm?
There’s a “soft saddle horn and adjustable stirrups”
…TO COMPLETE THE HORSEY FEEL?!?!?!?

aaaaaaaaaaand kneepads?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

It just doesn’t get any better than this…

Oh wait…

It’s does get better.

It’s aaaaaaalllll about the photo.
