 Alright… I couldn’t decide which I wanted for Christmas…

So I got both…

I scanned YouTube to find this…

Band Aid - Do They Know It’s Christmas?

Cause it ain’t xmas without it.
(I remember, I think, either it was MTV
or some radio station played this song for like 24hours straight…
Or it seemed like it.)

Well when I searched for it and found it,
I watched it,
was amazed at how young everybody looked,
(I mean look at Ms. Jody Watley… LOOK AT HER… love her.)
and then this video came up as a related item…

I mean, the genius television executive who thought to pair up these two,
needs to be knighted…
just like Sir Bono just recently, I might add…

The Brits do know how to bring in the cheer now… don’t they?

 Joseph Barbera (of Hanna-Barbera fame) passed away yesterday.

I did know that many of my favorite cartoons growing up
were thought up by Barbera,
But it wasn’t until I read the articles on his death,
How much of my childhood he represented.

From Scooby to Yogi.
Tom and Jerry to Fred and Barney.
Gobots and Charlette’s Web.
The Jetsons… The Smurfs.
And so many more…

I mean, he even did Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Amusement Park!

He made eating Corn Pops on Satruday morning so much sweeter.

He will be missed.

I loooooved….

And a pretty funk one at that…

I had totally forgotten how psychdelic this clip was…
And the remix embraces it nicely.
