For those who may have checked in recently…
Which to tell you the truth…
I don’t know how many of you are…
(I’ve been getting a lot of my traffic from bots lately….)

But you may have noticed
that my site was down for a couple of days…

The reason was was…

Well…

To tell you the truth…
I don’t know exactly…

I think it had to do with the server it was on…
But beyond that…
I’m not sure…

(I know… How ungeeky of me…)

But luckily…
The blog is back up…

[Thank you bud… seriously…]

For a couple of days there…
I did have to face the fact…
That I could have lost the blog permanently…

Not the name… or the domain…
But the past 2 years of content I have put together.

It really put me into a spin…
Losing all that time and effort…
Putting a bit of myself out there…

Kinda like having a hand chopped off.

But then I also came to realize…
I had always thought of this blog as being a bit ethereal…
Something for the time…
Be it what may…
Like writing in the sand on a beach…
Having it convey your thoughts there
until the tide washed it away…

But I’m glad it’s still intact…
Having it there as a capsule…
A text box of my life…
For those who may be interested…
Or just curious for a perspective other than their own.

We’re still here…

Whenever I go over the Manhattan Bridge on the subway…
And I catch a glimpse of the Brooklyn Bridge
across the water from me…
With the sun just bursting through from behind…
I get this flashback of me when I was a kid…
Sitting in the back seat of my Dad’s station wagon
on our way into the city…
With this song playing on the radio…

Geez, this really brings back that “Old New York” feeling for me…
When the city seemed like such a large place…
With so many possibilities…
With so many things to learn…
With so much to see…
And so much to experience.

And even though I’m not a big horror movie type person…
I’m thinking on going…
Since it’s reveling in that horror/70’s exploitation genre…
Even down to fake trailers…

But deep down inside…
I still lean towards the Blaxploitation movies from around that time…
I mean come on jive turkey…
